rss hang left hang right

I was so happy to discover this easy-to-implement eco-friendly tidbit…stop having unsolicited Yellow & White Pages delivered to your home or office! I honestly can’t remember the last time I’ve craked open either, and while I’m always sad to see the end of an era come to pass - I have not, for many years, understood why the Pages are still being printed.

YellowPagesGoesGreen.org is a grassroots organization which contacts your local distributers and asks for your name to be taken off their delivery list.  Much like DoNotCall.gov (for getting your phone # off marketing lists) and 1-888-5-OPTOUT (to tell credit card and insurance companies to stop sending you applications) YellowPagesGoesGreen.org is another activist service that protects our rights while also eliminating tons and tons of waste each year.

It takes all of 30 seconds to fill out your info. Hopefully that’s the end of bulky, heavy, papery Yellow Pages for me!

Love,
Tracey

  1. Tracey,

What the folks over at YellowPagesGoesGreen are doing is excellent and if you’re tired of receiving white and yellow phone books that you don’t need and you didn’t ask for - sign up ASAP! More than likely that will not get you off the list as soon as you’d like. At least not yet!

Best bet is to call each of the directory publishers direct. I wrote a post about it here:

    Best and good luck,

    Rick
