There is a growing trend of studded furniture lately, and I have to say it is appealing to my “bad girl” side! A perfect mix of classic lines juxtaposed with rugged hardware, a studded piece can add just the right amount of intrigue to a room without seeming flashy or theme-y.
I’m digging Horchow’s baby blue Crocodile-Embossed Accent Table ($359) and Anthropologie’s Lady & Her Dog Loveseat (great name!) - also in a sweet baby blue.
Now where’s my old leather jacket…

The Furnishings-Store-Formally-Known-As-All-Things-Neutral has emerged from its beige haze and brought forth some really pretty stuff for fall. When I received Pottery Barn’s fall catalogue, I almost did a “Way to go PB!” jig in my living room. This season’s offerings are bright, graphic, geometric and above all colorful.
While their patterns exhibit blatant influence from design world darlings like Jonathan Adler, Orla Keiley, and even Marimekko, I’m loving their Madison Armchair ($949) in the Bailey, Gabrielle Jacquard, Graphic Ikat, and Ogee patterns. If you want to spend just a little for a big splash, check out their new pillow covers, which have almost all of the same above patterns and more - like the super springy Dandelion Pillow Cover and a very modern Grid Print.
Lastly, I’m loving the bold, bright lacquer Pillar Candleholders ($14) and Natalie Nesting Tables ($179). So much color, so little space!!

I have had a life-long battle with the dark circles under my eyes. They surface in different degrees of dark and basically ensure that I can never go totally without some make-up. This battle has lead me through hundreds of dollars of cosmetics over the years in search for a miracle cover-up. I am happy to say that I (and my circles) are currently quite content with our little tube of AmazingCosmetics AmazingConcealer ($42).
I’m not much of a make-up gal overall, and I’ve never been a big fan of creme base (I’ve been a mineral make-up gal for years…way before it was on every drugstore shelf in the country). While AmazingConcealer is a creme, you need so little, and it spreads so far that the tiniest dab makes the biggest cover-up and it doesn’t feel make-upy at all.
I have yet to endure a long sleepless night, or an unwelcome blemish that couldn’t be properly mended with this stuff. Sephora boasts that “The AmazingConcealer is formulated to erase all skin imperfections: Dark circles, broken capillaries, sun damage, blemishes, redness and more. There’s nothing on the market today that can compare to the AmazingConcealer and it’s ability to erase all skin imperfections.”
And they are so right.

Though I was definetly a Converse Hi-Top gal in my day (those days being the late 80’s/90’s) I have to smile at the return of the infamous Reebok Pump. All-in-all, the whole concept is pretty ridiculous- (wait guys, I have to pump up my shoes before I shoot that 3-pointer) - but I am love-loving the super retro colors and the old school throw back to a time when $800 Louboutins where a laughable, whispery thought.

Tracey
Afterthought: What were your favorite old school sneakers?

In yet another designer/brand collaboration, Italian designer Roberto Cavalli has teamed up with Coca-Cola to release a limited run of 30,000 bottles of Coca-Cola Light adorned with “dresses” by the infamous designer:
“I had a lot of fun creating three different “dresses” for the legendary silhouette of the Coca Cola Light Contour. They are seductive and feminine, in typical Cavalli style. They’re designed for the world of young people, which has always been a great inspiration to me,” - R. Cavalli.
Unfortch, you’ll have to travel to Portofino or Rome or Venice to get your bottle as they are only running in the Italian market.
In the meantime, you can purchase your own ho-hum can of Diet Coke here in the States on just about any street corner imaginable.
Love,
Tracey

PS - check out the Roberto Cavalli website and go to the “Celebrities Hall” to see a cool recap of all the celebs who rock Cavalli. (plus I”m totally digging the song they play on the site)
