Don’t cha just love happy accidents? I was rather foggy in Target the other day and grabbed Aveeno’s Daily Moisturizing Body Wash when I thought I was snagging their Stress Relief Moisturizing Lotion. (Yes, I know - two different sections, but I said I was foggy!)
Turns out, I had no idea what I was missing. In my quest for smooth skin, I totally missed the soap part! This stuff is so yummy, your skin feels better the moment you rinse the rich sudsy goodness it off your body. I have been a soap-and-water gal all my life, but I am not a happy body wash convert. The best part? Like all Aveeno products the body wash is lightly fragranced, soap free, dye free, and hypoallergenic. I think I hear my shower calling.
Don’t forget to wash behind your ears!

It’s sad how few letters I write these days - especially where there are such fab stickies like the newly issued Charles & Ray Eames stamps. While I save my pennies for an Eames Lounge Chair, these gorgeous stamps will just have to suffice my Eames obsession.
Am I wrong, or would these be totally cool to frame?

As I grow older, I want more and more for everything to be neatly tucked away, closed off and out of sight. Thus, my growing love for armoires. I love this traditional piece of furniture with its magestic, over-powering presence. But, like many age-old classics the armoire can be turned into something gaudy, loud and downright ugly.
Anthropologie’s Bird Cut Armoire ($1898), however, contains none of the aforementioned properties. It is all beauty and grace, with a whimsical door pattern that is subtle but stunning. Behind the doors are lie four drawers, two shelves, and one hanging rack. Just enough to tie a room together and clean up the clutter, while staying perfectly feminine and, most importantly, timeless.

Afterthought: What’s your most treasured piece of furniture? Why?
Though it is literally the longest name for a lotion I have ever seen, Vaseline’s new Spring-Break-smelling Cocoa Butter “Gel” has been a miracle maker for me this very very dry summer. Oilier than a gel, and gelly-er than a traditional body oil, it smooths on pretty thick and gets right down to business.
I used it a couple days in a row right after my shower, and immediately felt more human. Now, I use the Cocoa Butter Gel Body Oil just a few times a week to keep ahead of the itchies. It’s great for hands and feet before bedtime too (especially those of you who get super-dry cuticles!) And best of all, I love love love the smell. For $7.99 (I snagged mine at Safeway), it’s a great deal. Also - just in case you were wondering, it is in fact fabulous for back massages. Who knew Vaseline could trump such a fab product?

I kind of decided this summer i’m going to make an effort to look pretty. No more wife beater/frumpy skirt combos, and no more wearing flip flops 24/7. So, as I embarked on purchasing actual summer shoes these lovely “Tells” sandals by Enzo Angiolini popped right out. And my feet are very happy.
I went with a bold orange which goes with just about everything, and the gold accents glam them up enough for nighttime. Most important, they are SUPER comfortable. No blisters, no fallen arches. Which kind of makes me really not miss the flops.

The Cadman Workstation from West Elm ($549) is our at-home office desk. It is long, lean, clean-lined and plenty big. The perfect details for a perfect work desk. While I normally wouldn’t opt for a glass top, I couldn’t pass up the versitile design, which features a great corner unit making the whole think almost overly large and perfect for files, piles, papers and of course computers.
It arrives unassembled, but two people can put it together without starting a fist fight. I promise. Also, bite the bullet and get the matching file cabinet ($199) and bookshelf ($169). Nothing says productive like an organized and delightfully coordinated office space!
